Created in 2008, the Chrono-Environnement Laboratory brings together various disciplines, from geosciences to the living sciences through the human sciences. The objective of all these scientists (geologists, ecotoxicologists, doctors, microbiologists, chemists or archaeologists ...), is the understanding of current socio-ecosystems and passed to predict and prevent the consequences of global change.
The researchers work on different scales, on the infinitely large (earthly crust) and on the infinitely small (bacteria, molecules ...) and during time periods which range from prehistoric to today.
Chrono-environment is a mixed research unit (UMR 6249) under the supervision of the CNRS and UBFC, member of the MSHE Claude-Nicolas Ledoux and the Observatory of Sciences of the Universe TheTA and associated with the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research (INRAP), at the Ministry of Culture and CEA.

Créé en 2008, le laboratoire Chrono-environnement rassemble des disciplines variées, des géosciences aux sciences du vivant en passant par les sciences humaines. L’objectif de tous ces scientifiques (géologues, écotoxicologues, médecins, microbiologistes, chimistes ou archéologues...), est la compréhension des socio-écosystèmes actuels et passés pour prévoir et prévenir les conséquences du changement global.
Les chercheurs travaillent à différentes échelles, sur l’infiniment grand (croûte terrestre) et sur l’infiniment petit (bactérie, molécules...) et sur des périodes temporelles qui vont de la préhistoire à aujourd’hui.
Chrono-environnement est une unité mixte de recherche (UMR 6249) sous tutelle du CNRS et d’UBFC, membre de la MSHE Claude-Nicolas Ledoux et de l’Observatoire des Sciences de l’Univers THETA et associé à l’Institut national de recherches archéologiques préventives (INRAP), au Ministère de la Culture et au CEA.
