Wie dringend diese Stunde ist, zeigen schon die Fakten: 2024 war weltweit das heißeste Jahr seit Beginn der Wetteraufzeichnungen, erstmals wurde die 1,5-Grad-Marke übertroffen, es gab Extremwetter rund um den Globus. In den letzten Monaten hat sich nicht nur das meteorologische, sondern auch das politische Klima verändert, die Earth Hour als gemeinsame Stunde für mehr Klimaschutz ist wichtiger denn je.

We are proud to announce the next milestone in our mission: The electrification of Keur Niangane, Senegal – one of 54 villages that will be powered with clean energy by 2025 as part of the ENRA project. ⚡🌍

Through our Solartainer® Amali and the installation of a stable power grid, 1,207 people in 149 households will gain access to reliable, sustainable electricity – a true alternative to polluting diesel generators! 🔋☀️

Our ImpactSite in numbers:
✅ 56 kWp solar capacity + 10,772 Ah battery storage
✅ 5 km power grid
✅ 55 StreetUPs (solar-powered streetlights) for a safer community 🌙

Thanks to the strong support from ChargePoint and our great partnership with ASER (Agence Sénégalaise d’Electrification Rurale) we are driving sustainable development in rural Senegal. This project contributes to several SDGs, including Clean Energy (SDG 7) and Economic Growth (SDG 8). 🚀

Empowering Women, Empowering Communities – Happy International Women’s Day! 💪🏾🌍✨

Today, on International Women’s Day 2025, we celebrate incredible women like Mrs. Olga—an entrepreneur in Mahasolo, Madagascar, who is driving change through clean energy.

With solar power from Africa GreenTec, Mrs. Olga no longer relies on an expensive and polluting diesel generator. Now, she runs her phone charging business longer, more efficiently, and more profitably, thanks to affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy. Her service allows many people in Mahasolo to stay in touch with their loved ones and access up-to-date information.

Since October 2024, together with our partners Polarstern GmbH and UEF (Universal Energy Facility) by Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL), we have been lighting up 365 homes, 31 businesses, and 19 public institutions with our Solartainer Kani (148 kWp solar, 171 kWh battery storage, 15 km grid and 100 solar street lights).

Access to energy means access to opportunity. Women like Mrs. Olga are proving that when we empower women with sustainable solutions, entire communities thrive.
