Der Landescluster NanoMikroWerkstoffePhotonik.NRW (NMWP.NRW) ist der High-Tech-Cluster des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen und stärkt Unternehmen, Forschungseinrichtungen und Hochschulen im Bereich der Schlüsseltechnologien Nanotechnologie, Mikrosystemtechnik, Neue Materialien und Photonik, unterstützt durch das Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Innovation, Digitalisierung und Energie des Landes NRW und gegründet 2009 im Rahmen der Exzellenzinitiative der nordrhein-westfälischen Landesregierung.
Als Querschnittstechnologien liefern Nanotechnologie, Mikrosystemtechnik, Neue Materialien und Photonik zahlreiche Impulse zur nachhaltigen Lösung globaler Herausforderungen in nahezu allen Bereichen, zum Beispiel von der Ressourceneffizienz über die Energiewirtschaft bis hin zu klimaschonender Mobilität und dem neuen Diagnose- und Medikationsverfahren im Gesundheitssektor.
