Spécialisé dans les espaces verts et le paysage, Plante & Cité est un organisme national d’études et d’expérimentations. Ce centre technique assure le transfert des connaissances scientifiques vers les professionnels des espaces verts, des entreprises et des collectivités territoriales.
Plante & Cité produit des ressources qui répondent aux attentes prioritaires des professionnels : réduire les produits phytosanitaires, économiser l’eau, choisir des végétaux adaptés aux contraintes urbaines, préserver la biodiversité, comprendre les bienfaits du végétal sur la santé et le bien-être...
Plante & Cité est une association loi 1901 créée à Angers en 2006, dans le cadre du pôle de compétitivité VEGEPOLYS. En 2017, Plante & Cité compte 510 structures adhérentes. L’association est présidée par la ville d’Angers. La ville de Versailles et l’entreprise de paysage Lequertier assurent respectivement la première et la seconde vice-présidence.
MISSIONS
- Organiser des programmes d'études et d'expérimentations sur des sujets décidés en commun et qui correspondent aux attentes des gestionnaires d'espaces verts.
- Animer des expérimentations conduites en réseau avec des collectivités territoriales, des entreprises partenaires et les instituts techniques et scientifiques.
- Réaliser la veille technique, le transfert et la mutualisation de connaissances scientifiques et techniques vers les collectivités territoriales et entreprises adhérentes.
