La Asociación Empresarial Eólica (AEE) es la voz del sector eólico en España. Promueve el uso de la energía eólica en nuestro país, en Europa y en el mundo entero. Representa y defiende los intereses del sector.
AEE cuenta con más de 300 empresas asociadas y representa a más del 90% del sector en España, que incluye a los promotores, los fabricantes de aerogeneradores y componentes, asociaciones nacionales y regionales, organizaciones ligadas al sector, consultores, abogados y entidades financieras y aseguradoras, entre otros.
AEE coordina la investigación en las áreas que rodean la energía eólica y da servicio a sus asociados respondiendo a sus diferentes necesidades. Contribuye a la formulación del marco normativo con el objetivo de que el sector se desarrolle en las mejores condiciones posibles. Divulga la realidad de la energía eólica y realiza una labor didáctica de cara a la sociedad. Pone en marcha eventos de alto nivel en los que reúne a destacadas personalidades a nivel nacional e internacional. Publica informes y estudios que son una referencia.
Además, AEE ejerce la secretaría de REOLTEC (Plataforma Tecnológica del Sector Eólico), coordina con el ICEX la presencia de las empresas españolas en ferias y congresos en el exterior y es miembro de asociaciones internacionales como WindEurope (antigua EWEA).
