Spain, Poland, Italy, Southern France... First applications of EliGrain-a are now underway in winter and durum wheat fields.

Across this broad Mediterranean zone, temperatures remain above seasonal averages, and rainfall patterns are highly variable.

🌦️ As a result, crops are already under climatic pressure, in some cases as early as the second node stage.
In this context, the value of early preventive action is clear. EliGrain-a integrates seamlessly into current crop management practices, with no need for an extra pass: it can be applied together with growth regulators or fungicides.

[Elicit Plant supports Franco-Mexican efforts to strengthen food sovereignty 🌽 🇲🇽]

Maize, a cornerstone of the national diet in Mexico, is at the heart of a major agricultural crisis. President Claudia Sheinbaum has declared a national emergency for water management in agriculture, aiming to improve crop water efficiency and secure yields—both critical for the food security of millions of citizens.

In this context, Elicit Plant, represented by founder Olivier Goulay, was received by the Mexican Minister of Agriculture, Julio Berdegué Sacristan — a first for a French company. This meeting, initiated by Laurent Saint-Martin, French Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade, reflects France’s commitment to providing concrete solutions to Mexico’s agricultural challenges. During the meeting between the ministers, Julio Berdegué Sacristan emphasized the relevance of our solution to address water scarcity in maize cultivation, positioning it as a credible and operational response to the structural challenges of Mexican agriculture.

🎯 Next step: a large-scale trial program, in partnership with INIFAP, the University of Chapingo, and CIMMYT, to assess the effectiveness of our technology on local maize varieties, especially white maize. The goal: accelerate its availability across the country.

Alexandre Martin, Agricultural Affairs Advisor for Mexico, Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador at the French Embassy in Mexico, underlined France’s commitment to deepening cooperation with Mexico to tackle water stress, in close collaboration with Mexican research institutions.
