Supported by the CNRS and the Paris-Saclay University (including ENS Paris-Saclay and the universities of Paris-Sud and Versailles-Saint-Quentin are members), the MSH Paris-Saclay benefits from an exceptional scientific environment which brings 15% of the country's research forces, and embodies the mission advocated by the Athena Alliance for the MSH to federate the SHS forces Scientist of 1,200 SHS researchers interested in interdisciplinary issues, distributed in 37 SHS research units and fifteen other units.Original language

La MSH Paris-Saclay, unité de service et de recherche CNRS, est une structure d’accueil, d’impulsion, de promotion et de diffusion de la recherche en sciences humaines et sociales au sein de l’écosystème de Paris-Saclay.
Créée en 2015, elle est une des plus récentes du réseau national des « Maisons des sciences de l’Homme ». Elle hérite de la pensée interdisciplinaire promue par Fernand Braudel qui a été à l’initiative de la fondation des MSH en 1962. Son idée était de développer une recherche interdisciplinaire interne aux sciences humaines et sociales qui avait contribué au rayonnement de la recherche française, avec notamment l’émergence de l’École des Annales dans la première moitié du vingtième siècle et du Structuralisme dans sa deuxième moitié.
Ancrée dans le vingt-et-unième siècle, la MSH Paris-Saclay se fixe le nouvel objectif de développer l’interdisciplinarité entre les SHS et les autres sciences. Cette réorientation stratégique répond à la nécessité de relever deux défis majeurs pour les générations futures : la transition numérique et la transition écologique. Les axes de recherche de la MSH Paris-Saclay ont été définis dans le but de mettre les chercheurs SHS du périmètre Paris-Saclay au service de ces enjeux. Ainsi la MSH Paris-Saclay propose deux axes de recherche sur ces grandes transitions et un axe transversal sur l’innovation.
Soutenue par le CNRS et l’Université Paris-Saclay (dont l’ENS Paris-Saclay et les universités de Paris-Sud et Versailles- Saint-Quentin sont membres), la MSH Paris-Saclay profite d’un environnement scientifique exceptionnel qui fédère 15% des forces de recherche du pays, et incarne la mission préconisée par l’Alliance ATHENA pour les MSH de fédérer les forces SHS du site en animant un réseau scientifique de 1200 chercheurs en SHS intéressés aux questions interdisciplinaires, répartis dans 37 unités de recherche SHS et une quinzaine d’autres unités.
