Developing the recycling supply chain and short loop recycling of neodymium iron boron (NdFeB) rare earth magnets
HyProMag is pioneering the future of sustainable magnet production by recycling NdFeB magnets using our patented HPMS technology.
From our first facility at Tyseley Energy Park in Birmingham, UK, we are establishing short-loop recycling operations that recover high-performance magnetic materials for critical industries - including automotive, electronics, and renewable energy.
Our process delivers a significant environmental advantage, using around 88% less energy than traditional magnet production from mined raw materials. This closed-loop approach helps secure a resilient, low-carbon supply chain for the UK and beyond.
In collaboration with the University of Birmingham, our Tyseley plant will have an initial capacity of 100 tonnes of NdFeB per year, marking an important step toward circular, sustainable magnet manufacturing.
Recycling, Rare earths, and NdFeB
Play a fundamental role in energy generation and utilisation which is becoming increasingly important as we move towards an electricity based society.
