The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL) is the central bank of Luxembourg. It is responsible for the implementation of the Eurosystem's monetary policy in Luxembourg and performs many other tasks, including issuing banknotes, supervising payment systems and collecting statistics.
The BCL contributes to ensuring the stability of the financial system and conducts research on the Luxembourg economy and the euro area.
It carries out its missions in complete independence.
