Based in Montreuil since its creation in 1991, the association has a strong local anchoring in Seine-Saint-Denis where the places of reception and accommodation are located, the production workshop and the headquarters but also in the eastern Paris, 7 shops in Paris, one in Montreuil, one in Saint Mandé and a resourcery in the heart of Paris.
Emmaüs Alternatives actively participates in the national and international life of the Emmaüs movement, refers to its universal manifesto and adheres to the values defended by the movement.

Emmaüs Alternatives est une association qui favorise l’accompagnement, l’insertion et l’autonomie des plus démunis.
Nous luttons contre la précarité en favorisant l’insertion professionnelle et l’autonomie des plus démunis.
Agissant dans un esprit de solidarité et d’entraide, elle propose notamment :
• des actions visant à soutenir les droits et la dignité des plus démunis,
• des lieux d’accueil, d’hébergement et d’aide alimentaire,
• des services d’accompagnement et d’insertion par l’activité économique et l’accès au logement.
A travers ses différentes actions d’accompagnement social et d’insertion par l’activité économique, Emmaüs Alternatives aide chaque année plus de 170 salariés en insertion à (re) prendre pied dans le monde du travail et plus de 3000 personnes à sortir de la spirale de l’exclusion.
Ces missions sont remplies par une équipe de professionnels, travailleurs sociaux et encadrants techniques, accompagnés de bénévoles. Le financement est assuré par des fonds publics, du mécénat privé et des ressources propres issues des ventes réalisées dans les boutiques et de dons en nature.
Basée à Montreuil depuis sa création en 1991, l’association bénéficie d’un fort ancrage local en Seine-Saint-Denis où sont localisés les lieux d’accueil et d’hébergement, l’atelier de production et le siège mais également dans l’Est parisien, 7 boutiques à Paris, une à Montreuil, une à Saint Mandé et une Ressourcerie au cœur de Paris.
Emmaüs Alternatives participe activement à la vie nationale et internationale du Mouvement Emmaüs, se réfère à son Manifeste Universel et adhère aux valeurs défendues par le Mouvement.
