3 years, 5 months agoWe advocate for smarter fiscal policy that will positively impact future generations of Americans.
The Concord Coalition is a nonpartisan, grassroots organization dedicated to educating the public and policymakers on the importance of generationally-responsible federal budget policy and how to build a sound fiscal and economic foundation for the future.
Concord was founded in 1992 as late U.S. Senators Warren B. Rudman (R-NH), Paul Tsongas (D-MA) and the late Peter G. Peterson to be the voice of concerned citizens that are motivated, like the Minutemen at Concord, Massachusetts, to take a stand for future generations of Americans. Concord believes, along with its volunteers across the nation, that we have a moral obligation to leave the country better off for our children and grandchildren.
Concord's field staff and volunteers hold lectures and public forums, lead interactive budget exercises, conduct presentations, engage the media and brief elected officials and their staff on the nation’s long-term budget challenges, from an unsustainable build-up of debt to the need to prioritize investment in up-and-coming generations.
