Founded in 2000, 2/3/4/ unites the experience of three French firms that, since the early 1980s, have paid particular attention to new lifestyles that demand a return to simplicity and the basics.
2/3/4/ defends the luxury of a "lifestyle" that seeks out "well-being". Made to measure, each project is the opportunity for a study that makes it unique whether in terms of sustainable development, typology or construction system.
Just as the glassblower, 2/3/4/ buildings take their shape from the inside.
Like clothes, their envelopes protect without restricting movement. Like a landscape, they change over time.
Even before the selection of construction materials, 2/3/4/ favors the only readily available raw material: light.

La dynamique d'Ateliers 2/3/4/ est celle d’un groupe s’appuyant sur des talents individuels. Depuis 2006, Ateliers 2/3/4/ réunit les expériences de trois ateliers français qui ont porté une attention particulière aux nouveaux modes de vies réclamant un retour à la simplicité et aux choses essentielles. Le luxe que défend Ateliers 2/3/4/ est celui d’un « savoir vivre » à la recherche du « bien-être ». Taillé sur mesure, chaque projet est l’opportunité d’une recherche qui le rend unique, que ce soit en matière de développement durable, de typologie, ou de process de mise en œuvre. Comme le souffleur de verre, c’est par l’intérieur que les édifices d'Ateliers 2/3/4/ prennent forme. Leurs enveloppes, comme un vêtement, protègent sans gêner le mouvement, comme un paysage elles évoluent avec le temps. Avant même de choisir des matériaux, nous privilégions la seule matière première toujours disponible : la lumière. Nous croyons en la « densité » comme composante majeure de la ville. Notre savoir-faire sur la perméabilité des édifices nous permet telle une alchimie de transformer la « densité en intensité ».
