Als dynamische sportorganisatie zijn we de centrale schakel in het professionaliseren en bevorderen van de topsport in Amsterdam.
Samen met onze partners creëren wij optimale randvoorwaarden voor de sportieve ambitie van talenten, topsporters en topsportverenigingen. Tevens houden we proactief de regie op het werven en organiseren van internationale topsportevenementen. Hiermee geven wij een positieve impuls aan het sportieve imago van Amsterdam en haar Olympische Ambitie.
Wij hebben de volgende kerntaken:
Het adviseren, begeleiden en ondersteunen van talenten en topsporters
Het werven, coördineren en faciliteren van topsportevenementen
Het coördineren en versterken van de topsportinfrastructuur
Het promoten van en het bedrijfsleven betrekken bij de topsport
Deze kerntaken voeren wij uit voor topsporters en talenten, evenementenorganisatoren, nationale bonden, NOC*NSF, topsportverenigingen, het bedrijfsleven en Amsterdam.
Wij doen dit niet alleen, maar samen met sterke partners, zoals de gemeente Amsterdam, de nationale en regionale overheid, NOC*NSF en de nationale bonden, de Amsterdamse onderwijsinstellingen, (para)medische instellingen, Amsterdamse woningbouwcorporaties en Amsterdamse promotionele instellingen.
