Consensus Economics, founded in 1989, is the world's leading international economic survey organization and polls more than 1000 economists each month to obtain their forecasts and views. Once verified, these forecasts are used to calculate the consensus (mean average) forecast, establishing a quality benchmark for monitoring changes in the economic outlook.

Consensus Economics is seen as the macroeconomic forecast benchmark by investment and planning managers, as well as government and public sector institutions, who find the data transparent, timely and accurate. Each Consensus ForecastsTM publication produced by Consensus Economics shows the average (mean), as well as individual forecast predictions, and is distributed in hard-copy format, via email as PDF files and Excel spreadsheets and on the major electronic research platforms.
