Créée en 1990, totalement pluraliste et répondant aux attentes des communes franciliennes, structure de concertation et d’information à l’échelon régional, l’Association des Maires d’Ile-de-France (AMIF) assure un rôle de représentation des élus locaux et participe au dynamisme régional. En 2021, 80% des communes d’Ile-de-France sont membres de l’AMIF. Les communes peuvent adhérer à l’AMIF en répondant à l’appel à cotisation envoyé avant chaque début d’année par l’AMIF.
Forte de sa représentativité et de sa structure interdépartementale, qui lui confère un rôle de porte-parole des Maires d’Ile-de-France dans le débat régional et national, l’AMIF intervient comme un interlocuteur privilégié sur les grandes questions qui conditionnent l’avenir de la région, et sa place toute particulière au sein de notre pays.
Partenaire actif de l’Etat et des collectivités territoriales, l’AMIF aborde tous les sujets essentiels à la vie des municipalités en apportant un éclairage particulier : l’aménagement du territoire, les mobilités, l’éducation, la culture et le patrimoine, la fiscalité, la formation des élus, le développement économique, la politique de la ville, l’urbanisme et la transition écologique, le numérique... autant de secteurs qui permettent aux élus de faire entendre leur voix et d’être accompagnés dans l’exercice de leurs politiques publiques du quotidien.
A travers ses commissions thématiques et groupes de travail, ses colloques, ou encore ses voyages d’études, l’AMIF se donne les moyens d’atteindre ses objectifs en partenariat avec les institutionnels et les partenaires privés, représentés dans le cadre de l’association AMIF Partenaires.
