Value proposition

In November 2016, Fiji made history by becoming the first Small Island Developing State to be selected to preside over the conference of parties as President of COP23 – the last round of the ongoing United Nations climate negotiations held in Bonn, Germany in November 2017.

The COP23 Presidency Secretariat (CPS) is based in Suva, Fiji and supports the Fijian Presidency, led by Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama.
