    An orchestra at school transforms an entire class into an orchestra for three years.     National Center for Resources, the association has a double ambition: supporting orchestras at school and promoting the development of this system throughout the territory.

    The association orchestra at the School, recognized as a public utility, provides financial support to initiatives, supports project leaders, aware of the general public and decision -makers and encourages the creation of orchestras, paying particular attention to disadvantaged areas. The association organizes more than a hundred events each year in prestigious partner places to promote the meeting between our apprentice musicians and professional artists.

    The association is a signatory of a framework agreement with the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Territorial Cohesion. An orchestras' quality charter at school was written in a participative manner in 2017.

    Un orchestre à l’école transforme une classe entière en orchestre pendant trois ans. Dispositif gratuit pour les familles, afin de tendre vers une réelle égalité des chances, Orchestre à l’Ecole est avant tout un projet social, éducatif, culturel et citoyen. C’est un véritable projet de territoire, basé sur un partenariat entre un établissement scolaire, une structure spécialisée dans l’enseignement de la musique et une collectivité territoriale. Orchestre à l’Ecole, c’est une pratique collective de la musique avec deux séances hebdomadaires au minimum.

    Depuis la création du dispositif, 163 000 enfants ont participé à l’aventure. En 2024, il existe 1 600 orchestres dans 100 départements.

    Centre national de ressources, l’association affiche une double ambition : soutenir les orchestres à l’école et promouvoir le développement de ce dispositif sur l’ensemble du territoire.

    L'association Orchestre à l'Ecole, reconnue d'utilité publique, apporte un soutien financier aux initiatives, accompagne les porteurs de projet, sensibilise le grand public et les décideurs et incite à la création d’orchestres, en accordant une attention particulière aux zones défavorisées. L'association organise plus d'un centaine d'événements chaque année dans des lieux partenaires prestigieux pour favoriser la rencontre entre nos apprentis musiciens et les artistes pro.

    L’association est signataire d’une convention cadre avec le ministère de l’Éducation nationale, le ministère de la Culture et le ministère de la cohésion des territoires. Une charte de qualité des orchestres à l’école a été rédigée de façon participative en 2017.
