The most requested feature from our ChatGPT business customers? Connecting ChatGPT to internal knowledge sources.
That’s why I’m especially excited to share that we’re starting to roll out internal knowledge in beta for ChatGPT Team customers.
ChatGPT can now connect to your org’s Google Drive workspace, pulling in internal knowledge in real time to provide more personalized responses.
We’re rolling it out gradually to Team customers over the next few weeks. Admins will get a notification in ChatGPT when it’s ready to set up for their workspace.
🎥 Check out the demo below—we’ve been using internal knowledge at OpenAI for a few weeks, and it’s already changed how we onboard new team members, prep for meetings, and unblock work.
🔍 One of my favorite parts: over time the model learns your org’s unique language—project names and acronyms, and team-specific terms—while respecting your user permissions so responses are grounded in the right context. (We love our codenames at OpenAI 👀)
And this is just the beginning. The team is already working on the next wave of connectors, aiming to support all the key internal knowledge sources your team relies on today—from collaboration and project management tools to data analytics platforms, CRMs, and more. These new connectors will be available soon for ChatGPT Team and Enterprise customers.
For those unfamiliar: ChatGPT Team is built for teams and growing businesses. It’s quick to implement and comes with enhanced security, data privacy, and admin controls. Learn more about ChatGPT Team: https://lnkd.in/g3gmZjXR
Team customers: I’d love your feedback—what else do you want to see? Drop your responses in the comments.
🆕 4o image generation is beginning to roll out today in ChatGPT and Sora to all Plus, Pro, Team, and Free users.

💥 Today we're rolling out a *major* update to image generation in ChatGPT! The model is now quite good at following complex instructions, including detailed visual layouts. It's very good at generating text. It can do photorealism or any number of other styles.
Btw—if you explicitly ask for something edgy (within reason), the model should respect your intent. As we said in our model spec, giving users creative control matters, and we'll continue listening and adapting based on feedback.
Bottom line, this new image gen model is better at expressing all of your creativity, and we can't wait to see what you create.
A few months ago, I asked ChatGPT "based on what you know about me, draw me a picture of what you think my current life looks like." Below is that image, and what I got from the same prompt today with our new image gen model.
(not gonna lie, I did like my old room with all the equations and displays—now I just have a blackboard... and an extra daughter 🙃)
As the new image gen model rolls out today, try the prompt above and share what yours looks like!
As we continue to grow, we remain focused on our core mission—to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity.
We are proud to announce three of our leaders who are taking on additional responsibilities to help us deliver on this.
• Mark Chen has stepped into an expanded role as Chief Research Officer. Mark will drive scientific progress and make sure we continue to push the frontier in capability and safety.
• Brad Lightcap, as Chief Operating Officer, is expanding his role to oversee OpenAI’s business and day-to-day operations. Brad will lead our global deployment, focusing on business strategy, key partnerships, infrastructure, and operational excellence to maximize the impact of our research.
• Julia Villagra has assumed the role of Chief People Officer. She will enable the company to continue scaling globally, and will ensure that OpenAI remains the top destination for people who want to build AGI.
