Based in Hauts-de-France and present in the Paris region, Railenium has led, thanks to its expertise in financing engineering and coordination of collaborative projects, more than 70 projects in 10 years mobilizing around 140 partners and 80 employees.
Since 2017, i-Trans and Railenium have pooled all the tools of their systems around the same ambition: to jointly support a strong innovation strategy, responding to the challenges of companies in the rail sector in order to cover the entire innovation process from the emergence of the project to its valorization.

Véritable outil au service de la filière ferroviaire, l’Institut de Recherche Technologique (IRT) Railenium conduit des projets de recherche et d’innovation partenariales rassemblant académiques et industriels, en lien avec les pouvoirs publics.
Ensemble, ils développent collaborativement, valident et testent des technologies de rupture et des solutions innovantes répondant aux grands défis sociétaux et technologiques de la filière ferroviaire, en France et à l’international.
Né en 2012 dans le cadre du Plan d’investissement d’avenir, Railenium est un Institut de Recherche Technologique (IRT) expert dans le système ferroviaire.
Grâce à l’expertise de ses équipes, Railenium offre des compétences permettant de lever des verrous technologiques et scientifiques, dans les domaines de l’intelligence artificielle, le BIM/RTM, la modélisation numérique, l’IoT, la sûreté de fonctionnement et les facteurs organisationnels et humains (FOH).
