Le projet Losange a officiellement démarré le 4 août 2017, un peu plus d’un an après le lancement du projet Rosace (déploiement de la fibre optique dans les départements du Bas-Rhin et du Haut-Rhin). Sept départements de la Région Grand Est vont pouvoir prochainement bénéficier du Très Haut Débit. Le département de la Moselle disposera d’un réseau fibre optique, indépendamment du projet Losange.
Ce projet de Réseau d’Initiative Publique (RIP), baptisé Losange, est mené à l’initiative de la Région Grand Est, maître d’ouvrage, en partenariat avec les sept Conseils Départementaux : les Ardennes, l'Aube, la Marne, la Haute-Marne, la Meurthe-et-Moselle, la Meuse et les Vosges.
