Association référente, l’ADH anime depuis 1961 un réseau professionnel convivial et solidaire, représentatif de la diversité et de la richesse du métier de directrice et directeur d’hôpital. Elle rassemble 1.100 adhérents, soit environ un directeur sur deux parmi les actifs.
En tant que laboratoire d’idées, l'Association s'attache par ailleurs à mener une réflexion prospective sur l'hôpital, son organisation interne et sa place dans l'écosystème de santé, tout comme sur la dynamique et le décloisonnement de la haute fonction publique.
L’Association met ainsi sa force de conviction et de propositions au service du métier DH, en renforçant son rôle de partenaire naturel des pouvoirs publics en matière d’évolution de l’hôpital public et du système de santé, mais aussi de formation et d’avenir de la profession.
