The Kālida Foundation promotes a psychosocial assistance model, for cancer patients, centered on the person. Its objective is to create centers, located a few meters from the oncology services of public hospitals of reference in cancer treatments, with spaces to host and accompany people who need it as well as their family, friends or caregivers. La Fundación Kālida promueve un modelo de asistencia psicosocial, para pacientes con cáncer, centrado en la persona. Su objetivo es crear centros, situados a pocos metros de los Servicios de Oncología de los hospitales públicos de referencia en tratamientos del cáncer, con espacios para acoger y acompañar a las personas que lo necesiten así como a sus familiares, amigos o cuidadores. En ellos encontrarán soporte práctico, emocional y social, un ambiente agradable especialmente diseñado para sentirse acompañadas, informadas y entendidas. Este servicio -totalmente gratuito- tiene como finalidad complementar los tratamientos médicos de los hospitales y se inspira en el modelo de atención psicosocial de la ONG escocesa Maggie ́s, formando parte de su red internacional de centros. El primer centro en inaugurar ha sido Kālida Sant Pau, en mayo de 2019 en el recinto del Hospital de Sant Pau de Barcelona.
