FENVAC also aims to be a driving force in Prevention, the development of policies and victim monitoring systems and Security. The Federation intends to act with the public authorities but also with the legislator by sharing its field experience and expertise.

Conventionnée par le Ministère de la Justice et le Ministère de l'Europe des Affaires Étrangères, la FENVAC est intégrée aux dispositifs de crise de l'Etat, et accompagne les victimes dès les premières heures suivant le drame.
En cas d’accident majeur survenu à l’étranger, la FENVAC rejoint la cellule de crise du Centre de crise et de soutien (CDCS) du Ministère du Quai d'Orsay.
La FENVAC se veut également acteur moteur dans la Prévention, l’élaboration des politiques et dispositifs de suivi des victimes et la Sécurité. La Fédération entend agir auprès des pouvoirs publics mais également du législateur en partageant son expérience de terrain et son expertise.
La FENVAC s’attache à ce que les drames vécus ne tombent pas dans l’oubli, et, à ce titre, accompagne les victimes et leurs proches lors des procès et dans les processus commémoratifs.
