The Foundation organizes and coordinates the various activities that enable the establishment, emergence (start-ups), growth and development of companies in Valais. It creates the appropriate framework conditions to encourage Valais economic players to demonstrate creativity and innovation.
To achieve this, The Ark promotes the development of new knowledge from universities of applied sciences and cantonal and national research institutes. The Foundation also pools various local, national and international skills networks.
The Ark embodies the strategy developed by the cantonal authorities to create a real technology park in Valais. The particularity of this park is that it is multi-site (six technology sites) and focuses on three specific areas:
• Computer and communication sciences
• Life sciences
• Energy and environment
The Ark meets these specific expectations and needs through its three services: Incubator, Accelerator and Innovation. Each of these tools offers targeted, pragmatic support to innovative entrepreneurs in the Foundation's three preferred areas.

La Fondation organise et coordonne les différentes activités permettant l’établissement, l’éclosion (start-up), la croissance et l’épanouissement de sociétés en Valais. Elle crée les conditions-cadres adéquates pour inciter les acteurs économiques valaisans à faire preuve de créativité et d’innovation.
Pour y parvenir, The Ark favorise le développement de nouveaux savoirs issus des hautes écoles spécialisées et des Instituts de recherche cantonaux et nationaux. La Fondation met également en commun différents réseaux de compétences locaux, nationaux et internationaux.
The Ark incarne la stratégie développée par les autorités cantonales afin de créer un véritable parc technologique en Valais. La particularité de ce parc est d’être multi-sites (six sites technologiques) et de porter sur trois domaines particuliers :
• Sciences de l'informatique et de la communication
• Sciences de la vie
• Energie et environnement
