Orphandev is the national network of expertise dedicated to rare diseases. Created in 2009, the Orphandev network is labeled F-CRIN in 2021.

• The operationalization of clinical research on rare diseases, in order to strengthen the attractiveness of research centers and facilitate the inclusion of French patients in international trials.
• The development of artificial intelligence at the service of rare diseases in order to accelerate the collection, pooling and exploitation of data, modeling the health course, identifying new pharmacological targets, improving diagnosis or encouraging individualized medicine.
• Accessibility of treatments to allow patients to benefit from the latest therapeutic innovations.
* F-CRIN is a national infrastructure in clinical research. Labelized by the ANR as part of the future investment program, supported by the Ministry of Health, is responsible for strengthening the performance of French clinical research and its attractiveness at the European and international level. Infrastructure distributed, it has 21 components, thematic networks of investigation and expertise, advanced service platforms, of which Orphandev is a part.

OrphanDev est le réseau national d'expertise dédié aux maladies rares. Créé en 2009, le réseau OrphanDev est labellisé F-CRIN en 2021.
Il s’agit une initiative collaborative public-privé unique qui rassemble professionnels de santé, chercheurs, entrepreneurs, industriels (biotech, medtech, laboratoires pharmaceutiques et leurs représentants, etc.), patients et familles de patients, tous mobilisés pour apporter des solutions innovantes aux patients atteints de maladies rares. OrphanDev est coordonné par le Pr Olivier Blin.
L’action d’OrphanDev s’articule autour de 3 axes :
• L’opérationnalisation de la recherche clinique sur les maladies rares, afin de renforcer l’attractivité des centres de recherche et faciliter l’inclusion de patients français dans les essais internationaux.
• Le développement de l’intelligence artificielle au service des maladies rares afin d’accélérer le recueil, la mise en commun et l’exploitation des données, de modéliser le parcours de santé, d’identifier de nouvelles cibles pharmacologiques, d’améliorer le diagnostic ou encore d’encourager la médecine individualisée.
• L’accessibilité des traitements pour permettre aux patients de bénéficier des dernières innovations thérapeutiques.

Labélisée par l'ANR dans le cadre du Programme d'Investissements d'avenir, soutenue par le ministère de la Santé, elle a pour mission de renforcer la performance de la recherche clinique française et son attractivité au plan européen et international. Infrastructure distribuée, elle compte 21 composantes, réseaux thématiques d'investigation et d'expertises, plateformes de services de pointe, dont fait partie OrphanDev.
