La CNEM (Corporation Nantaise des Étudiants en Médecine) est une association de loi 1901 qui travaille depuis 1992 pour l'intérêt commun des Étudiants de la Faculté de Médecine de Nantes.
La CNEM est une association de représentation pour les étudiants en médecine de Nantes, mais également une plateforme d’informations, de discussions, de formations, d’échanges, de soutien et de coordination des actions étudiante (solidarité, tutorats associatifs...).
La CNEM fonctionne selon le modèle associatif dit "ascendant", ainsi lors des conseils d’administration ou des assemblées générales, les adhérents de la CNEM, définissent les actions à mener et les positions qui seront celles de la structure et des étudiants en médecine de Nantes.
En terme de représentation, la mission de la CNEM est de proposer des solutions aux problèmes de notre formation théorique et pratique, en soutenant le point de vue des étudiants. Pour cela, la CNEM travaille toute l’année avec différents interlocuteurs : les instances de l'Université de Nantes, l'équipe du décanat, ainsi qu'avec l’Ordre Régional ou Départemental des Médecins et les syndicats de professionnels...
Elle est indépendante de tout parti politique, syndicat et religions, et réuni plus de 1000 étudiants en médecine.
Membre d'InterAsso Nantes et de l’ANEMF, la CNEM se place au cœur d’un réseau étudiant national organisé et engagé.
