THERMOFIRE is an European project with the objective to develop bio-based and recyclable composites with fire resistance
Thermofire is a project Funded by the European Union, under the call HORIZON-JU-CBE-2022.
The project THERMOFIRE has the objective to develop novel bio-based and recyclable composites with enhanced mechanical properties and fire resistance by using natural fiber reinforcements and bio-based halogen-free flame retardants. The production of these novel composite materials will be scaled up and 3 types of demonstrators will be developed (for aerospace, automotive and textile applications).
Thermofire involves 12 european partners:
- ARKEMA (France)
- AVANZARE (Spain)
- CANOE (France)
- CTCR APIDIT (Spain)
- CTME (Spain)
- ENSATEC SL (Spain)
- MNLT INNOVATIONS IKE (Greece)
- NATUREPLAST SAS (France)
- POLYMERIS (France)
- CRF (Italy)
The general objective is to develop novel bio-based and recyclable composites with enhanced mechanical properties and fire resistance by using natural fiber reinforcements and bio-based halogen-free flame retardants.
