Created in 2009 under the leadership of Nicola RAPETTI and Catherine BOUNIOL, MICROTERRA is the pioneer of on-farm composting in Occitanie by creating the missing link in the green waste recovery sectors between local authorities and agro-industrial organic plant waste and farmers.
Sharing values of commitment and respect for people and nature, our ambition is to sustainably create living soil with our partners for organic and local agriculture.
Our innovative and structured on-farm composting sector responds in the long term to both:
• The problems of green waste management of local authorities and the short-circuit recovery of this organic matter resource by returning it to the soil.
• The needs of farmers in quality organic matter that can also be used in organic farming (NF U44-051 standard) and biodynamic farming through a personalized study of their needs, long-term support and tailor-made training.
• Environmental and climate change issues: organic matter from local plants contributes to developing an agroecological model that limits chemical inputs, prevents the risks of flooding and drought through its absorption capacity, protects water resources through its soil filtration capacity, and fixes carbon in the soil for several decades.
As a co-founding member of the National Compost in Situ Network, our activity also extends to the recovery of agro-industrial and restaurant biowaste (SPA3 type), in the innovative form of on-farm composting.
Our aim is to set up local projects around organic matter, projects that are part of the bioeconomy and that benefit both organic and conventional farmers.

Créons durablement un sol vivant pour une agriculture bio et locale
Créé en 2009 sous l’impulsion de Nicola RAPETTI et de Catherine BOUNIOL, MICROTERRA est le précurseur du compostage à la ferme en Occitanie en créant le chaînon manquant des filières de valorisation des déchets verts entre les collectivités locales et des déchets organiques végétaux agroindustriels et les agriculteurs.
Partageant des valeurs d’engagement et de respect des Hommes et de la Nature, nous avons pour ambition de créer durablement avec nos partenaires un sol vivant pour une agriculture biologique et locale.
Notre filière innovante et structurée de compostage à la ferme répond sur le long terme à la fois :
• Aux problématiques de gestion des déchets verts des collectivités locales et la valorisation en circuit court de cette ressource de matières organiques par le retour au sol.
• Aux besoins des agriculteurs en matière organique de qualité utilisable aussi en agriculture biologique (norme NF U44-051) et biodynamique par une étude personnalisée de leurs besoins, un accompagnement dans la durée et des formations sur-mesure.
• Aux enjeux environnementaux et de changement climatique : la matière organique issue de végétaux du territoire contribue à développer un modèle agroécologique qui limite les intrants chimiques, prévient les risques d’inondation et de sécheresse par sa capacité d’absorption, protège la ressource en eau par sa capacité de filtration des sols, fixe le carbone au sol pendant plusieurs décennies.
Membre co-fondateur du Réseau National Compost in Situ, notre activité s'étend également à la valorisation des biodéchets agroindustriels et de restauration (type SPA3), sous la forme innovante de compostage à la ferme.
Notre volonté est de monter des projets de territoire autour des matières organiques, projets qui s’inscrivent dans la bioéconomie et qui bénéficient autant aux agriculteurs biologiques que conventionnels.
