E2C 21 was created in 2011
The 2nd Chance Schools (E2C) are based on the principles contained in the White Paper Teaching and Learning – Towards the Cognitive Society, presented at the initiative of Édith CRESSON (then European Commissioner for Science, Research and Development and former Prime Minister) at the Madrid Summit of Heads of State in December 1995, then adopted by the Ministers of Education of the Member States of the European Union. The project to build 2nd Chance Schools was included among the five cross-cutting objectives identified by the White Paper, “Fighting exclusion”.
The 2nd Chance School of Côte d’Or is a social, civic and professional orientation system for young people between the ages of 16 and 30.
The E2C offers each young person a personalized course, individualized support and differentiated teaching to encourage their involvement. The objective of the training is to consolidate the trainee's interpersonal and professional skills to enable their social and professional integration. The actions implemented by the E2C aim to strengthen the autonomy of trainees in their course and, more broadly, in their personal lives. The E2C prepares each young person for sustainable employment while being an informed and active citizen. Les Écoles de la 2e Chance (E2C) sont issues des principes contenus dans le Livre Blanc Enseigner et apprendre – Vers la société cognitive, présenté à l’initiative d’Édith CRESSON (alors Commissaire Européen chargé de la Science, de la Recherche et du Développement et ancien 1er ministre) lors du sommet des Chefs d’État de Madrid de décembre 1995, puis adopté par les Ministres de l’Éducation des États Membres de l’Union Européenne. Le projet de bâtir des Écoles de la 2e Chance était inscrit parmi les cinq objectifs transversaux identifiés par le Livre Blanc, “Lutter contre l’exclusion”.
L’École de la 2ème Chance de Côte d’Or est un dispositif d’orientation sociale, citoyenne et professionnelle à destination de jeunes entre 16 et 30 ans.
L’E2C propose à chaque jeune un parcours personnalisé, un accompagnement individualisé et une pédagogie différenciée pour favoriser leur implication. L’objectif de la formation est de consolider les savoir-être et les savoir-faire du stagiaire pour permettre son insertion sociale et professionnelle. Les actions mises en œuvre par l’E2C visent à renforcer l’autonomie des stagiaires dans leur parcours et, plus largement, dans leur vie personnelle. L’E2C prépare chaque jeune à un emploi durable tout en étant un citoyen avisé et actif. L’objectif, à l’issue de la formation, est l’accès à un parcours qualifiant (formation qualifiante, contrat en alternance) ou à un emploi (contrat de droit commun, contrat aidé).
