Pour rappel : A l'issue de l'appel à candidatures (AAC) Carnot3, 29 instituts Carnot et 9 tremplins Carnot ont été sélectionnés. Les Tremplins Carnot sont des structures de recherche qui présentent un fort potentiel pour devenir institut Carnot selon le comité Carnot, même s'ils ne remplissent pas encore l'ensemble des critères. C'est pour tirer profit de ce potentiel que les Tremplins ont été sélectionnés avec un objectif d'obtention du label Carnot à un horizon de 3 ans. Ils reçoivent un soutien financier spécifique du Programme d'Investissements d'Avenir pour réaliser les actions de progrès nécessaires à l'atteinte de cet objectif.
