[Automatic translation follows] Promoting access to natural spaces for people with reduced mobility
It all started after the broadcast of a documentary film on the return from a trek in Nepal, with 4 people with reduced mobility in all-terrain wheelchairs. A dream finally come true. Everything becomes possible, able-bodied and disabled, in the middle of the great natural spaces.
Subsequently, contacts were quickly created. In particular with a person who launched a website providing information on adapted mountain outings.
From there, in contact with the disabled community, we were able to bring together a few people with disabilities, but also able-bodied people, with a network, capable of contacting future partners: but above all, all motivated by the action of seeing disabled people realize their dream: to travel the great outdoors in complete serenity in our Savoyard mountains.
Our association was quickly created in order to clarify on the one hand, what we wanted to do, and on the other hand how to get there. The role of each person was defined according to their skills and knowledge.
To promote these outdoor activities, we are organizing a weekend at the Semnoz resort in the heart of the Annecy basin, which will allow us to promote all adapted mobility: the R'handi Bike Festival!

Favoriser l’accès des personnes à mobilité réduite aux espaces naturels
Tout démarre suite à la diffusion d’un film reportage au retour d’un trek au Népal, avec 4 personnes à mobilité réduite en fauteuil tout terrain. Un rêve enfin réalisé. Tout devient possible, valides et non valides, au milieu des grands espaces naturels.
Par la suite des contacts se sont vite créés. Notamment avec une personne qui a lancé un site internet donnant des informations de sorties adaptées en montagne.
De là, en contact avec le milieu handi, nous avons pu fédérer quelques personnes en situation de handicap, mais aussi des valides, ayant du réseau, capables de contacter de futurs partenaires : mais surtout tous motivés par l’action de voir des personnes handicapées réaliser leur rêve : parcourir les grands espaces en toute sérénité dans nos montagnes Savoyardes.
Notre association a rapidement vu le jour afin de préciser d’une part, ce que nous voulions faire, et d’autre part comment y arriver. Le rôle de chacun a été défini en fonction de ses compétences et connaissances.
Pour promouvoir ces activités de pleine nature, nous organisons un week-end sur la station du Semnoz au cœur du bassin Annécien, qui permettra de faire connaitre toutes les mobilités adaptées: le R'handi Bike Festival !
