Each March, the engineering community across Canada comes together for National Engineering Month (NEM)—the country’s largest celebration of engineering excellence. Established in 1992 by Engineers Canada and the provincial and territorial engineering regulators, NEM sparks interest in the next generation of engineers while recognizing the profession’s impact on society.

In Ontario, NEM is a month-long movement. For 31 days, we bring together people from all backgrounds with one common purpose: to celebrate and advance the engineering profession. Whether through in-person events or online experiences, NEM Ontario provides opportunities to learn, connect, and inspire.

From hands-on workshops to powerful discussions to cutting-edge innovations, NEM Ontario events showcase the diversity of thought, opportunities, and people that make up the engineering field. Our theme, "There’s a place for you in engineering," reinforces that engineering is for everyone—regardless of background, experience, or interests.
