Les Bureaux du Cœur, c'est une association dont l'objectif est de participer au processus de réinsertion de personnes en grande précarité - les « invité.e.s » - en leur mettant à disposition, la nuit et le week-end, des bureaux d'entreprises - les « hôtes ».
En 2019, partant du constat que nos bureaux sont en partie chauffés le soir et le week-end, qu'ils sont équipés de moyens de cuisine et de sanitaires (WC, lavabos, souvent douche), il est apparu aux dirigeants du CJD Nantes qu'il était simple d'accueillir des personnes en précarité dans leur locaux une fois que ceux ne sont plus utilisés.
Les Bureaux du Cœur permettent ainsi à des personnes pour qui le logement collectif n'est pas une solution (femme qui a dû quitter son logement en urgence, personne qui en voie de réinsertion mais n'a pas les moyens de se loger...) d'accéder à un logement individuel, de se rapprocher du monde de l'entreprise, de socialiser, de bénéficier de la solidarité des collaborateurs et parfois des contacts des dirigeants.
Les Bureaux du Cœur travaillent avec des associations qui traitent des problèmes de logement de personnes en grande précarité, comme l'Association Saint Benoit Labre à Nantes.
La démarche permet un point de rencontre entre les acteurs économiques que sont les entreprises et leurs collaborateurs et l'économie sociale et solidaire que sont les associations en charge du logement.
