2 years agoA deeptech venture studio solving hard climate problems.
Marble is a climate tech venture studio solving hard climate problems. Our mission: bring us at least one gigaton closer to net zero and create a future that thrives.
We do this by partnering with scientists, engineers and operators to build deeptech startups that slash emissions, remove carbon, and cool the planet.
The climate crisis is the most pressing challenge of our times. Solving it requires breakthrough technology, as available solutions only get us halfway. We can’t put all our hopes in classic tech transfer. We need to intentionally create and deploy radical solutions for hard-to-abate emissions.
Backed by top climate and deep tech investors, we're searching for individuals who could apply their skills to solve hard climate problems and who have the will to turn their skills into a new startup company. Joining as Founders-in-Residence, they work with us to scope high-impact climate opportunities and build ventures with massive impact potential.
We invest in the best teams at pre-seed.

⭐️ Meet Alix - Marble’s New Office Manager & Executive Assistant
Alix joins Marble with a Master’s degree in Art and Culture Management from INSEEC MSc and a wealth of experience as an office and operations manager in several production companies.
While her career path to Marble may be unconventional, her background in the cultural field brings a unique perspective to her role, showcasing her belief that skills, when applied thoughtfully, can have an impact in any industry.
Alix is passionate about solving problems and making everyone’s job and day a little easier - qualities that make her perfect for her role at Marble.
Outside of work, Alix has a love for discovering new crafts and perfecting her skills - recently she even got a degree in sewing!
We’re thrilled to welcome Alix to the Marble team and can’t wait to see the positive impact she’ll make 🌎
⭐️ Welcome aboard, Ingrid El Helou, PhD!
We are excited to have Ingrid join us as a Venture Associate in Energy Systems, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to our team 🚀
✈️ Ingrid’s journey in climate and energy innovation began with her academic pursuits at the University of Cambridge, where she earned a Master’s degree in Energy Technologies, followed by a PhD and postdoc in Aerospace Engineering. Her research focused on the role of large-scale aerodynamics and sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) in reducing soot emissions from jet engines. Before her time at Cambridge, Ingrid graduated with a BE in Chemical Engineering from the American University of Beirut.
Building on this strong foundation, Ingrid transitioned into the cleantech sector, working as an analyst for two years at the think tank Future Cleantech Architects (FCA). Having tackled a diverse range of decarbonisation challenges, from advancing hydrogen technologies to exploring alternative fuels and sustainable aviation solutions, Ingrid brings a unique perspective and expertise to support Marble’s mission.
She’s particularly excited to contribute to Marble’s venture-building efforts in geothermal energy and energy flexibility, while gaining first-hand experience in commercialising transformative climate tech innovation.
🎨 Outside of work, Ingrid’s passions include traveling, art, and cooking. For 2025, she has set an ambitious personal goal: to visit every museum in Paris.
Please join us in welcoming Ingrid (and feel free to share your favourite museums in Paris to help her achieve her goal)!
🚀 How big is your idea?
The scale and urgency of the climate crisis demand radical solutions - ones capable of driving real, measurable change at a global level.
When building our ventures, we adhere to the 1% rule, developing and scaling approaches that can tackle at least 1% of total emissions:
• abating (directly or indirectly) more than 0.5Gt of CO2 per year, or
• driving climate adaptation for more than 1% of the world’s population.
🚀 We look for founders, who are not only technically outstanding in their domains, but are also exceptionally driven and motivated to make a lasting impact.
Now, if you:
• Only want to work on things that are directly trying to solve climate change,
• Convinced that starting a company is your best way to make the maximum impact on climate,
• Technically outstanding in your relevant domain (PhD or industry experience in a relevant field is a big plus),
• Driven individual who has always pushed themselves to achieve the best outcome they can get,
• All of the above —
We think that you should build with us!
👉 Apply for the next cohort of our Founder-in-Residence program, starting on Feb 19. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until cohort is filled.
