Value proposition

Communities for Development was created in 2014 to support rural communities in Uganda to achieve sustainable living conditions and relieve poverty by improving the financial conditions of the rural communities in order to cover their basic needs. We provide them with training in microfinance to help them to acquire the necessary tools and knowledge to improve their living conditions. We make this happen by creating saving groups and using Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA) methods.

Our key objectives are:
- Provide training for the communities to help them acquire professional skills in the areas of microfinance, education, health and shelter.
- Improve quality of life.
- Increase employment rates.
- Enable the community to integrate economically into the wider area.

One of the most vital solutions is for people to be able to generate income as an alternative, to reduce the reliance on their land and natural resources around better homes, better diet, better health and better opportunities.
