Les Centrales Villageoises sont des sociétés locales qui ont pour but de développer les énergies renouvelables et les économies d’énergie sur leur territoire en associant citoyens, collectivités et entreprises locales.
Elles sont basées sur le respect d’une Charte et sont développées suivant un modèle commun et reproductible dans tous les territoires de France engagés dans la transition énergétique.
L'association fédère les sociétés Centrales Villageoises et a pour objectifs :
- de mieux faire connaître l'approche spécifique des Centrales Villageoises et notamment son approche territoriale intégrée, de faire reconnaître le modèle au niveau national
- de poursuivre les actions de mutualisation (développement d'outils et de services partagés) au service des sociétés locales
- de renforcer la professionnalisation des projets, en visant notamment la création d'emplois locaux
- de poursuivre les expérimentations innovantes, le développement de nouveaux modèles juridiques et financiers, la diversification des projets d'énergie renouvelable et de maîtrise de l'énergie
