Created in 2018 in Nantes, Lisaqua is a #deeptech start-up that is revolutionizing aquaculture by designing an aquaculture production system with low environmental impact.
Lisaqua has developed "permaquaculture", a patented co-culture technology combining shrimp, microorganisms and marine invertebrates in indoor aquaculture farms in a closed circuit.
This farming method eliminates 100% of antibiotics, saves 99% of water compared to conventional farming, does not produce polluting discharges and preserves mangroves.
Since 2019, Lisaqua has been raising and marketing the first fresh, local, environmentally friendly shrimp guaranteed to be free of antibiotics and preservatives.
After 5 years of R&D, Lisaqua launched the first shrimp farm in France, in Saint-Herblain (Nantes) and produces 10 tons of shrimp per year. The company is preparing to scale up with the largest shrimp farm in Europe, in Seine-et-Marne in 2025 (500t/year).

Créée en 2018 à Nantes, Lisaqua est une start-up #deeptech qui révolutionne l’aquaculture en concevant un système de production aquacole à faible impact environnemental.
Lisaqua a développé la « permaquaculture », une technologie brevetée de co-culture couplant crevettes, micro-organismes et invertébrés marins dans des fermes aquacoles indoor en circuit fermé.
Ce mode d’élevage permet de supprimer 100% des antibiotiques, d’économiser 99% d’eau par rapport à l’élevage conventionnel, de ne pas produire de rejets polluants et de préserver les mangroves.
Lisaqua élève et commercialise depuis 2019 les premières crevettes fraîches, locales, respectueuses de l’environnement et garanties sans antibiotiques et sans conservateurs.
Après 5 ans de R&D, Lisaqua a lancé la première ferme de crevettes en France, à Saint-Herblain (Nantes) et produit 10 tonnes de crevettes par an. L’entreprise s’apprête à passer à l’échelle supérieure avec la plus grande ferme de crevettes d’Europe, en Seine-et-Marne en 2025 (500t/an).
