The birth of US Talence Athletics dates back to 1976, the date of the first Décastar.
UST is a club that creates jobs and social ties.

Prepare the Paris 2024 generation and the following ones:

• Boost the training of young people with high-level supervision and modern facilities (new Thouars stadium in 2021)
• Establish links with schools and develop detection programs
Continue the expansion of Sport Santé
• Athlé Santé Loisirs (ASL) program for all: Nordic walking, running, fitness, stretching, physical condition, gentle gymnastics and Nordic Fit
• Adapted Physical Activities (APA) program: sports on prescription, nature sports and a room intended for people treated for an ALD
• Sport Santé Services (RSE) program for CE: running, Nordic walking, stress management, back pain prevention
• Seniors Program: fitness and well-being workshops, fitness and balance for those over 55 in partnership with ASEPTOriginal language

La naissance de l’US Talence Athlétisme remonte à l’année 1976, date du premier Décastar.
L’UST est un club créateur d’emplois et de lien social.
Le club a connu une progression fulgurante depuis dix ans. En 2008 : le club comptait 110 adhérents en évoluant au niveau départemental.
En 2018, il est devenu premier club de Nouvelle-Aquitaine, membre du top 16 français, avec 1 200 adhérents répartis entre Talence et les sections locales de Gradignan et Cestas. Sa section handisports est la plus structurée de Nouvelle-Aquitaine et il compte dans ses rangs 14 internationaux.
L’ambition et le développement du club reposent sur deux grands axes.
Préparer la génération Paris 2024 et les suivantes :
• Accompagnement des athlètes pour les athlètes à potentiel (financement de stages, suivi médical, aides matérielles)
• Faciliter l’accompagnement du double projet sport/études
• Dynamiser la formation des jeunes avec un encadrement de haut niveau et des installations modernes (nouveau stade de Thouars en 2021)
• Etablir des liens avec le scolaire et développer des programmes de détection
Poursuivre l’expansion du Sport Santé
• Programme Athlé Santé Loisirs (ASL) pour tous : marche nordique, running, remise en forme, stretching, condition physique, gymnastique douce et Nordic Fit
• Programme Activités Physiques Adaptées (APA) : sport sur ordonnance, sport nature et salle destinées aux personnes traitées pour une ALD
• Programme Prestations Sport Santé (RSE) pour les CE : running, marche nordique, gestion du stress, prévention mal de dos
• Programme Séniors : ateliers forme et bien-être, forme et équilibre pour les plus de 55 ans en partenariat avec l’ASEPT
