Good to talk to Ofcom again today about Vistalworks shocking findings from our Safety Tech Challenge work, and how our innovative technology solution disrupts open web trading in links to child sexual abuse materials.
And yet it was beyond frustrating that just ahead of that meeting I was still able to find number one placed search engine results with text links and prompted recommendations to illegal CSAM, despite almost a year of trying to raise awareness of the under-pinning technical problems.
If you are a search engine, tech platform, or publish or facilitate the sharing of online content, now is the time to be pro-active and ensure you are not part of the open web's CSAM link trading problem.
The research and the tools to help fix the issues already exist,. These search engine indexing and recommendation issues are old school problems that have been fixed before. There is no excuse for inaction.
