Following the release of our Climate Gap report in October last year, we've now launched a monthly Climate Action Group newsletter for 2025:
https://bit.ly/3WloDKn

The group is for anyone to join, wherever they are in their sustainability journey.

The monthly emails will contain:
💡 Tips from our readers and others in the community
💡 Examples of inspiring local initiatives
💡 Showcasing key campaigns to support
💡 Simple and fun climate actions to take in your community

The month's email included a download for our 2025 Almanac and work from Meat Free Monday, Veganuary , Made In Hackney, Extinction Rebellion UK and Zero Hour.

The group aims to help address key areas in the UK Climate plan such as transport, food, heating, and consumer goods and empower local communities to live more sustainably.

Find out more about these key areas in our last report:

We'd also love to hear about any climate campaigns and actions coming up to include in our next email and support!

It's great to see B Corp and Best Buy Mr Organic | Certified B Corporation launch their brand refresh and products in glass jars in the last week! 🫘

Mr Organic already topped our new Beans and Pulses guide with its ethics for its tinned products, but we also recommend their new jarred beans!

For our subscribers participating in Veganuary, our latest magazine included our new guide to Beans & Pulses.

New research from the University of Oxford recently recommended beans and pulses as a healthier, and more environmentally friendly alternative to meat and milk replacements.

We examine the most ethical options, with seven Best Buy recommendations, including Bold Bean Co | B CorpTM, Mr Organic | Certified B Corporation, Essential Trading Co-operative, Suma Wholefoods, Infinity Foods Co-opertative LTD, Clearspring, and Hodmedod.

We are looking back over the last year at Ethical Consumer and which guides and content our subscribers have enjoyed the most.

Our top 5 guides this year were:
👚 Ethical Clothing: https://bit.ly/3ZX1OPI
This was following the huge rise in second-hand shopping we saw in 2023, our guide features Beyond Retro, Vinted & Rapanui Clothing as Best Buy's.

📱 Mobile phones: https://bit.ly/3H61IL4
We also looked at 21 brands this year for our recent Mobile Phones guide and featured Fairphone as the only Best Buy recommendation.

💷 Current Accounts: https://bit.ly/3ZHyhb4
This guide is due to be updated in early 2025 but remains popular each year with subscribers continuing to move to more ethical options when it comes to their money. Triodos Bank is featured as the only Best Buy here.

🥚 Eggs & vegan eggs alternatives: https://bit.ly/4iA8rOZ
In our recent egg guide, we whether it is ethical to eat eggs at all and considered the vegan options, as more people look for animal alternatives. We featured OGGS® as one of the Best Buy's.

🍫 Chocolate: https://bit.ly/4gCTRnY
Another guide from 2023 that remains popular each year, particularly as a staple gift around the year for many. We feature a huge list of 84 brands here with Pacari Chocolates UK, Chocolat Madagascar & fairafric as some of the Best Buy brands.

As well as our guides, we also have some great features to help with understanding ethical issues and empowering subscribers with their ethical choices. For us some of our best-performing feature content this year is:
Our piece on "What is fast fashion and why is it a problem?"
https://bit.ly/3vr6mRx
And our Boycott List, which we regularly update and seems more relevant than ever: https://bit.ly/47qoXui

We're looking forward to seeing which content our readers go to in 2025 for help with their ethical choices!
