Der Verband Österreichischer Software Innovationen (VÖSI) ist die einzige unabhängige österreichische Plattform für Unternehmen der Software Branche. Der VÖSI wurde 1986 gegründet und versammelt aktuell rund 50 Software und Software Intensiven Unternehmen unter seinem Dach.
Unter Software-Branche werden alle Unternehmen verstanden, die selbst Software entwickeln oder deren Geschäftstätigkeit zu einem signifikanten Teil im Entstehungsprozess von Software einzuordnen ist.
In seinem Manifest macht es sich der VÖSI zur Aufgabe, die österreichische Software Branche national und international zu stärken, Rahmenbedingungen für nachhaltige wirtschaftliche Erfolge in diesem Segment zu schaffen und den gesellschaftlichen Diskurs zu Software zu fördern.
Für den VÖSI stehen dabei gesellschaftlicher Nutzen und kommerzielle Interessen im Einklang miteinander. Da nämlich in vielen Bereichen des modernen Lebens Software vertreten ist, leistet die Software Branche einen wertvollen Beitrag im Alltag aller Menschen.
Der VÖSI bietet Unternehmen eine aktive Plattform und ergreift die Stimme zu aktuellen Themen. Ein weiterer Schwerpunkt der Aktivitäten für die Mitglieder liegt im Networking für partnerschaftliche Erfolge durch Plattformen zum Erfahrungs-und Wissensaustausch sowie zum Knüpfen neuer Kontakte auf Fach- und
Führungsebene. Eine möglichst große Zahl an Mitgliedern erleichtert und beschleunigt die Verfolgung
der Zielsetzungen des VÖSI.
