Türkiye Elektrik İletim A.Ş.’nin (TEİAŞ) kökleri 1970 yılında kurulan Türkiye Elektrik Kurumu’na (TEK) dayanmaktadır. TEK yıllar içerisinde farklı dönemlerde yeniden yapılandırılmıştır ve bunun sonucunda 2001 yılında TEİAŞ kurulmuştur.
