We provide strategic oversight and leadership to the state's waste and recycling sector, for better and more reliable waste services, recycling and material reuse. By strengthening Victoria's waste and recycling sector through monitoring, reporting and regulation of waste and recycling services, we will foster resilient and effective markets for recycled materials and products.

We have a strong regional focus and presence across the state which is central to Victoria's transition to a circular economy. We benefit from the extensive experience and regional knowledge of staff from Victoria's former Waste and Resource Recovery Groups who now, as part of Recycling Victoria, continue to provide support to the sector.
