The Institute for Youth Work (IYW) is a Professional Association that exists to give members of the Youth and Young Peoples workforce a voice through events, platforming sector views and advocating for Youth Work across local and national arenas. IYW activities are vital in the changing times that our sector has and will continue to experience.
By becoming a member of IYW you join hundreds of other youth and young people’s workers proactively developing our profession to ensure that all young people have access to support, engagement and recreation.
IYW is governed by a Council elected from within the membership and representing each of the membership categories, through the IYW website we encourage professionals to share their views and let IYW know about your successes and the challenges that you face. Through this, the Institute can utilise its national voice to represent the interests, issues, passions and concerns of all members.
