The IIAC is instrumental in shaping Canadian legislation and regulation to continuously improve financial markets to benefit investors and improve Canadian living standards. We are a hands-on, pragmatic, energized organization that advocates for smart, workable legislation and regulation based on sound, objective criteria. With courage and integrity, and through intelligent, informed analysis, we advance proposals to demonstrably grow healthy, competitive Canadian financial markets. We are not deterred by challenging issues but encourage the necessary open dialogue to resolve them. We provide an opportunity for government and regulators, as a branch of government, to broaden their considerations. We are a forum for inspirational, informed actionable engagement and debate. Legislative, regulation and policy making for financial markets in Canada would be sleepy without our input.
