Le Forum Rencontre est une association dite « loi 1901 » créée au début des années 80 par des étudiants de l’IDN. Son objet est « l’étude, la définition et la promotion des intérêts légitimes des élèves des écoles affiliés à l’association en ce qui concerne la préparation à leur carrière future notamment par l’organisation d’une manifestation annuelle permettant la rencontre d’étudiants et d’entreprises. » (Statuts de l’association).
Depuis plus de quarante ans est ainsi organisé chaque année le Forum Rencontre dans les locaux de l’IDN devenu l’École Centrale de Lille en 1991.
