Mama Cash supports visionary women, girls, trans & intersex people who are fighting for their rights around the world.

Founded in Amsterdam in 1983, Mama Cash is the oldest international women’s fund and one of just a few funds dedicated exclusively to advancing women’s, girls’ and trans and intersex people’s human rights globally. We give grants to over 130 forward-thinking initiatives led by women, girls and trans people around the world annually, supporting them not only financially, but also by sharing knowledge and networking opportunities.

Mama Cash supports the development of regional women’s funds around the world. We also encourage other funders to support the feminist activism of women, girls and trans people, and we learn and share results.

We’re on a mission: courageous women’s, girls’ and trans people’s human rights organisations worldwide need funding and supportive networks in order to grow and transform their communities. Together with these activists and our donors, we work towards a more just world for women, girls and trans people.
