Our 3 missions:
1- The School Foundation legally supports independent schools, and provides financial support to associative schools that it carefully selects, from kindergarten to baccalaureate
2- The Foundation for the School forms the entire educational community via the Free Training Institute (ILFM), the Academy of Professors and the Paris Teaching School; It distributes quality educational works via its Critérion collections.
3- The foundation for the school defends freedom of education:
- by organizing consumer events intended to inspire all actors in school freedom;
- by offering training for the creation of independent schools and the management of schools;
- by defending free education with the public authorities
- by promoting the financing of the free choice of the school for all.
In 2021, the foundation for the school and its sheltered foundations paid € 3.8 million to 192 independent establishments.
Independent schools represent more than 2,500 establishments in France per 100,000 students in 2022.

Reconnue d’utilité publique depuis 2008, la Fondation pour l'école soutient le développement des écoles indépendantes pour un renouveau éducatif en France, au service des familles.
Elle est aujourd’hui le premier interlocuteur de l’État et des services de l’Éducation nationale en matière d’écoles indépendantes.
Nos 3 missions :
1- La Fondation pour l’école soutient juridiquement les écoles indépendantes, et apporte un soutien financier à des écoles associatives qu’elle sélectionne avec soin, de la maternelle au baccalauréat
2- La Fondation pour l’école forme toute la communauté éducative via l’Institut libre de formation des maîtres (ILFM), l’Académie du Professorat et l’École professorale de Paris ; elle diffuse des ouvrages pédagogiques de qualité via ses collections Critérion.
3- La Fondation pour l'école défend la liberté d'enseignement :
- en organisant des événements grand public destinés à inspirer tous les acteurs de la liberté scolaire ;
- en proposant des formations à la création d’écoles indépendantes et à la gestion d’établissements scolaires ;
- en défendant l'enseignement libre auprès des pouvoirs publics
- en promouvant le financement du libre choix de l’école pour tous.
En 2021, la Fondation pour l'école et ses fondations abritées ont versé 3.8 M€ à 192 établissements indépendants.
Les écoles indépendantes représentent plus de 2500 établissements en France pour 100 000 élèves en 2022.
