An inter-regional cluster with a national vocation and European ambition, Elastopôle is the French competitiveness cluster in the rubber and polymer sector.

- By strengthening activities, mainly industrial, with a high technological content in its territories.

Pôle inter régional à vocation nationale et à ambition européenne, Elastopôle est le pôle de compétitivité français du secteur des caoutchoucs et polymères.
Il a pour ambition de maîtriser la totalité de la chaîne de valeur des élastomères et polymères dans une perspective de développement durable et d’efficacité économique, et de contribuer au développement des entreprises et au maintien de l’emploi, en anticipant les évolutions et émergences de technologies nouvelles.
Le pôle a pour principale activité :
- de créer un réseau d’échanges entre l’industrie (TPE, PME, ETI et groupes), la recherche académique et privée, et les acteurs de la formation tant initiale que continue,
- d’accroître l’effort d’innovation, à travers une approche mutualisée,
- de susciter et d’accompagner l’émergence et le montage de projets de recherche collaboratifs et de produits innovant.
Pour réussir ce challenge, le pôle est présent sur quatre régions :

- En accroissant l’effort d’innovation (usine à projets de R&D et à produits d’avenir).
- En confortant des activités, principalement industrielles, à fort contenu technologique sur ses territoires.
