Strikwerda Investments and leading European online solutions provider Your.World have secured EUR800 million in long-term partnership capital in the form of preferred equity from Ares Management and Carlyle.

Founded in 2016 by Strikwerda Investments, Your.World is a leading European online solutions provider and a key player in the European SME market. With over 2,000 employees, 45 distinct brands, and more than one million customers, its growth has been driven by its serial acquirer model based on high quality, sustainable value creation and scalable M&A across verticals and geographies.

Can Pillar Two continue to weather the storm?

Despite various obstacles and setbacks, 2024 ended with widespread implementation of the global minimum tax (also known as Pillar Two). The OECD predicts that by 2025, 90% of multinationals will be subject to the 15% global minimum tax.

As we move into 2025, countries are grappling with the detail of Pillar Two, the Undertaxed Profits Rule (UTPR) is taking effect, the U.S. is transitioning into its new administration and Pillar Two faces a potential challenge from the UN. The Republic of Chile has successfully completed bond offerings of USD1.6bn 5.650% Notes due 2037 and EUR1.7bn 3.750% Notes due 2032. These significant transactions will support the country's financial and social initiatives.

Capital markets partner Alejandro A. Gordano led the team with support from associate Gonzalo Robles, visiting attorneys Moises Gonzalez Arroyo and Giulia Maia Bonadio, tax partner Lorenz Haselberger and associate Daniel Kachmar.
